Workshop Information:

YOU CAN DRAW ANYTHING! (primary grade levels)

In this workshop, we will read a book (Harley the Hero, A Sky-Blue Bench or Percy’s Perfect Friend) and talk about SHAPES and positional language – this drawing demo is fully interactive and the kids draw along with me. We learn how to draw dogs, cat plushies or Aria (and if we have time – something extra silly). Students are encouraged to make up their own stories afterward. This is ALWAYS customized for class, size, age and time – but works for everyone.

Equity and Inclusion – primary grade levels, intermediate grade levels

Equity and inclusion are not just hot topics. They affect everyone. Using story, we will talk about classrooms – just like yours – and what classrooms look like in other places in the world. What are barriers to learning and being included and how can ONE person make a HUGE difference? Peggy has developed this workshop for her work as the artist-in-residence for the Equity and Inclusion initiative with the Limestone DSB. We will write our own short stories about this topic and learn to draw Aria, Amelia and Harley.
