- All schools, public libraries, bookstores, community centres or other community groups serving Canadian children & youth are eligible to host a virtual visit.
- The Canadian Children’s Book Centre subsidizes each of the presentations so that authors, illustrators, and storytellers can be properly compensated for their time and expertise but at a rate that is more affordable for schools/organizations. The total cost to be paid by the school/organization per presentation is $200.00 plus GST or HST, if applicable. Presentations generally last about an hour but may be divided into two 30 minute sessions to accommodate the attention span of younger participants on a screen.
- Authors, illustrators and storytellers must be paid directly by the host school/organization.
