Call for Applications- Canadian Authors and Illustrators-Book Week/Tournée Lire à tout vent 2022

Posted in: Uncategorised | 0

*Please note that author/illustrator applications are now closed for the 2022 Book Week tour.*

Are you a published Canadian author or illustrator who is passionate about connecting with and inspiring young people? Apply to take part in the 45th Canadian Children’s Book Week!  This virtual tour will allow you to engage with youth all across the country to celebrate books, stories and illustrations.

Canadian Children’s Book Week is the single most important national event celebrating Canadian books for kids and teens and the importance of reading. Following up on the success of last year, Canadian Children’s Book Week/Tournée Lire à tout vent will again be a bilingual tour planned in tandem by the Canadian Children’s Book Centre and Communication-Jeunesse. Our 2021 virtual tour taught us important lessons including surprising benefits to meeting virtually. Although it is our intention to adopt a hybrid format for future tours, our spring 2022 tour will be fully virtual.

The upcoming tour will take place from May 1 to May 7, 2022, and will allow young readers to connect with highly acclaimed and emerging authors and illustrators. The deadline for applications is end of day on Friday, October 22nd.
