FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Toronto (February 24, 2022)—Canadian Children’s Book Week/Tournée Lire à tout vent is around the corner, and we are thrilled to present the 2022 poster featuring the amazing art of the Fan Brothers, Devin, Eric and Terry Fan! The illustration perfectly depicts the 2022 theme: Sail into Stories. This year’s poster captures the magic and whimsy of stories and the unique journey they can take children on. You can download the poster here for free. It will also be available as an insert in the spring 2022 issue of Canadian Children’s Book News.
“Just looking at this year’s poster for Canadian Children’s Book Week/Tournée Lire à tout vent makes you want to disappear into your favourite story,” says Rose Vespa, Executive Director of the Canadian Children’s Book Centre (CCBC). “The talented Fan Brothers created the perfect poster for this year’s tour, depicting a dreamlike world where animals are able to literally sail into a storybook. We are in love with this original art and can’t wait for it to be displayed in classrooms and libraries all across Canada.”
The upcoming Book Week tour will take place from May 1-7, 2022. It is the Canadian Children’s Book Centre’s 45thBook Week tour, second virtual tour and second year partnering with Communication-Jeunesse. Fifty-five brilliant Canadian authors, illustrators and storytellers will take part in this virtual tour and deliver unforgettable workshops full of creative insights to young readers in schools, libraries and homes all across Canada.
