It’s been an amazing week and TD Book Week 2018 has come to an end. Our 28 creators have all ventured outside of their home provinces and given 400 readings to 28,000 children in 175 communities. They’e travelled on helicopters, planes, cars and trains and seen bears, tarantulas and snow in May. Now that it’s all over, we hope that they’re left with memories that they’ll never forget and that they get some much needed rest.
We want to thank all of the touring creators for their enthusiasm, adaptability and spirit of adventure over the past week. Many thanks to the coordinators who organized everything and went above and beyond in being there for the creators. We also had volunteers offer to drive creators, something we are incredibly grateful for. Thank you to all of the schools and libraries that hosted events and were amazing audiences. Thanks you to our sponsors and funders, especially TD Bank Group and the Canada Council for the Arts, for making all of this possible.
